Taking Bugs to tha vet

Bugs has been with us for 5 days now and hims is learning lots of things. One of tha things hims learned about last night and today was snow. Bugs is a Texas dawg (that's how hims says dog) and hadn't never seen snow before. Hims thought it was big fun last night but this morning it was really deep and hims didn't like having to go potty in tha deep snow. Me don't blame him much cause me don't like it much either and me is much taller than hims is. Mommy even went outside and shoveled him a place to go but Bugs thinks this cold snowy weather if for tha birds or tha very least long haired dogs like huskys. Another thing him learned is to use the dog door and go outside when hims needs to potty even with all that deep snow on tha ground. Mommy and Daddy was very proud of him. Of course hims is just copying me his big brudder.

Me helped Mommy and Daddy take tha little doddle bug to tha vet tonight for a wellness checkup. My vet thought hims was a cute little fellow and said me was doing a really good job of putting him in his place when gets to bossy. Tha only thing was that hims got a lot of treats so hims would take hims pills and me only got a tiny itty bitty treat. We both got drops in our noses for kennel cough cause we is going to stay with tha vet this weekend. Bugs behaved himself like a good little boy just like me. Dr Morton thinks we is really good boys. So how come if me is such a good boy Bugs got more treats than me???

Day 1

Having a little brudder is going to be fun, fun, fun. Mommy let me sleep in the spare bedroom with her cause hers didn't want us to be playing all night. Daddy thoughts hims would start teaching Bugs to sleep beside hims bed like me sleeps beside Mommy but that didn't work so Bugs had to spend the night in hims crate. Hims didn't seem to mind though, not like me did. Mommy and Daddy still laugh when they thinks about me going "Aaahhhwoooo" whenever thems would try to make me sleep in me crate.

This is how me and Bugs spended our very first day together. We played and played and played and in between playing Mommy putted that little boy in his crate so hers could have some peace and quiet. It was a good thing that Mommy decided to stay home today cause that way my little bug didn't have to spend hims whole day in hims crate. Mommy even thinks that before to long we will be able to play outside unsupervised. See how nice we is standing together?

Me has to go take a nap now cause all this playing is hard work and tires out a big boxer puppy.

Oh Mommy just got a picture of Tyson the boxer on Santa's knee. Her's says her will post it on me blog later but hers is tired too. Being a Mommy to two rowdy pups is hard work for her too.

I'm a BIG BROTHER!!!

Thems is home!!! And they broughted a new little baby brother for me. Hims name is Bugs and hims is from Austin, TX. Hims is Great Dane/Boxer mix and is a blue merle coloring. Hims looks more like a great dane than a boxer me thinks. Mommy says hims is a Southern puppy and will probably say things like "ya'll" and "yehaw" cause that's how thems talks in TX. This is Bugs and Daddy meeting for the berry firstes time. Daddy even wore a shirt the same color as Bugs so thems would match. Hims has had a really tough life for a little guy only 4 months old. Hims was found wandering the streets of Austin with a big dog and was picked up by some really nice people at P.A.W.S. of Austin. There hims was put in a foster home until Mommy and Daddy saw hims picture on Petfinder.com and asked if thems could adopt him. They traveled for almost a thousand miles just to get him.







Mommy said that little fellow is a world class traveler too. Hims curled up in the back of the car and went right to sleep and would wake up to get water and go potty. Hims even got to spend the night in a motel. (grrrr........how comes me never got to spend the night in a motel?) Mommy said hims was really good there too and didn't have no accidents, although hims has had two already in Mommy's office since thems got home. That's Bugs in the motel room,







Me thinks having a little brother is going to be lots of fun. Me peoples putted him in the outside kennel at first soe we could sniff each other before we actually got introduced.








After we got used to the smell of each other thems let us out to play. We have played and played and played this afternoon. This little bug sure knows how to play like a boxer puppy. We've played so hard that me is tired. Isn't hims cute? Hims giving me great dane/boxer kisses.

Hims is a little pushy though, cause hims thinks hims can have all the toys and bones. Mommy says hers thinks that cause hims was on his own for a little while but she is sure we can work it out. Since me is the big brother, me has to show him who is in charge and how to be a good puppy. That's going to have to wait for another day cause me needs to go take a nap. Me is one tired boxer puppy.

Happy Thanksgiving Everybody!!!

It's Thanksgiving again and we is just lazing around tha house watching football (and it's not even Sunday) and waiting for tha turkey to roast. We is also excited cause tomorrow is tha day that Mommy and Daddy goes to Austin, TX to gets me little brother Bugs. Mommy says me can't go cause it would be a little to much to have me along and a brand new baby. Me don't think this is very fair at all. Me wouldn't be any trouble at all and could help entertain the little Bug and keep hims out of trouble but thems isn't listening to me at all.

Me is a little scared about this new change. Me has been the only puppy in this house for a year and a half and me has had ALL of Mommy and Daddy's attention. Now me is going to have to share with this new comer. Mommy says hers will always love me the bestest cause me is her little puppy and Bugs is going to be Daddy's little puppy. Hers also said me shouldn't be worried cause Daddy will love me just as much as hims always has but hims will love hims baby too. Hers says thems has lots of love to give to two puppys but me is still worried about this. What if thems likes that new baby best? Me will be thinking about this while thems is gone and see if me can come up with a way to make sure thems doesn't forget thems has me.

More new family members

This is very exciting! Mommy's human sister Jeanne has a new baby hers rescued. It's a Brussels Griffon puppy named Spike. Hims just turned a year old with hims new Mommy.

Mommy thinks that Aunt Jeanne should get one of thems puppy pocketbooks to carry Spike around in but Aunt Jeanne says hims a "manly" kind of dog for such a little fellow and looks great in his harness and leash. We is inclined to agree that hims is a manly little fellow.

Can you tell hims Mommy thinks hims is the bee's knees??? Welcome to the Carroll family little Spike. "What is with Mommy's girl and her sister with them little dogs?"

Me's getting a puppy!!!!!

Me thought something was going on around here and now me knows for sure. Last night Mommy and Daddy brought in another dog crate and set in tha opposite side of tha den from me crate. Now me already has a nice crate so me knew it wasn't for me. Thems said thems was preparing for a new baby in tha family.

This morning Daddy got up really, really early and went to tha Maxfund to interview for a puppy who's name was Doris. Things didn't go well cause hims and Doris didn't hit it off at all, BUT while hims was figgering out hers wasn't his puppy, hims got a phone call from some peoples in TX and guess what? We IS getting a new baby. Hims name is Bugs and is half boxer and half great dane. This is a picture of him from the PAWS website. As soon as me peoples gets him and takes some more pictures Mommy will post them.

Hims about 8-10 weeks old and is in a foster home in Austin, TX where Mommy and Daddy is going to go to get him. Thems is going over Thanksgiving Weekend. Me can't wait to meet him and teach him all the rules in the Boxer Union Box. Mommy said the right puppy for Daddy would show up when the time was right and that it was apparent that Doris wasn't the right puppy but Bugs is. Me is going to be the bestest big brother in the whole world for this little bug. Me just wishes me could go with thems to get this cute little puppy but Mommy said it's too far for me to travel right now.

This is Tyson

Well Mommy has finally gotten around to scanning in the pictures her human boy Rhett sended her of the little boxer puppy Tyson.

Thems pictures don't show Tyson's face cause Rhett said that silly baby wouldn't keep still. Hims kept moving around a lot like puppies do. From what you can see of little Tyson's face hims has a black muzzle like me but hims overall color is lighter than me. Rhett told Mommy that Tyson looks like me.

This other picture of Tyson and hims older brother Max shows him little boxer face a little bit better. Mommy said Tyson was sick with kennel cough and gave it to Max and her human girl Tara's dog Drew. Everybody's better now though but we was worried cause as you can see Max is an old gentleman and hims never been sick before.

Me may have some exciting news to share on Monday. Mommy and Daddy went and looked at a puppy today and thems may bring her home on Monday but that's all me knows for the time being. Cause Mommy and Daddy don't want me to worry to much about something that may not happen. Me will keep you posted cause inqurying minds want to know. Murphy

Hump Day

This has been quite a week so far and it's only Wednesday. Yesterday was Halloween and Mommy had a doggie visitor at her work place yesterday and it wasn't me!! This isn't fair but me will forgive Mommy cause it was me little friend Frogknot. Froggies Mommy tooked him trick or treating yesterday. Mommy says him has become a very brave little dog, not at all the fraidy cat hims was the last time hims came to her work. Her even took pictures of him in his little custome.

We have a new little puppy in tha family too. No, we haven't gotten a baby for us yet. Tha new puppy belongs to Mommy's human son Rhett. Hims and his girlfriend Carla adopted thems a little boxer puppy. They named it Tyson after tha boxer not tha chicken. Carla is sending some pictures and as soon as we gets them Mommy will post them here for everybody to see. We is still looking for a baby for us too. If anyone knows where we can find another puppy like me (Boxer/American Bulldog) let us know. Me peoples says thems is willing to travel some distance to find thems new baby.
