The Great Escape

We almost made it across tha border this morning. Me and Bugs made a dash for it but was nabbed in tha end. Here's what happened.

This morning very early.....to early for me (we hadn't even had breakfast yet), tha neighbor from next door camed and told Daddy it was hims turn to use the aerator/hole making thingy. Mommy put the dog stopper in tha dog door so we couldn't get outside and daddy went out side and starts digging little holes all over tha front yard. Then hims opened up the gate to tha back yard and put them same little holes all over tha back yard. Me and tha Buggsy-Doodle was really cornfused. How comes hims gets to put holes all over tha place in tha yards and when me and Bugs digs just a couple holes we gets scolded???? This don't seem fair at all to us. Mommy said that what Daddy was doing was good for tha yard but what we does just destroys tha yard. Now that just don't make good boxer sense at all.

Anyway, Daddy finished and took the hole making machine out of tha back yard but hims forgot to close tha gate. Then Mommy tooked the dog stopper out of tha dog door and out me and Bugs went to investigate all them holes. And you know tha first thing we discovered was the gate open and we plotted our escape. Actually we first thought we'd go for a ride in tha car but none of tha doors was opened so Bugs thought it would be great fun to go on a walk about (always blame it on the little bad puppy) so off we trotted. We almost made it too!!!

Mommy discovered we was gone when hers went out back to give us a treat and we didn't come running when hers called. Hers when running out tha front door in time to see us about to cross the street to go to tha park. Her says fortunately the next door neighbor saw us too and called us about tha time her came out that front door. Being tha really good dog me is, me turned around and came trotting home when hers called. Bugs thought it would be nice to stop and visit with tha neighbor who ratted us out and hims little girl Rachel.

We almost made it to tha park, almost. Maybe another time we can try again. It was a lot of fun and a great adventure that's for sure.
