It was a dark and windy night

We traded traffic noise at tha campground for the sound of high winds in tha comfort of out own home. What is up with that?? All night long it sounded like a hurricane or tornado was passing through, not that me actually knows what a hurricane or tornado sounds like. Me and Bugs was up all night checking to make sure tha house was safe cause it was really scary sounding. Mommy couldn't sleep either cause hers was worried a tree was going to fall on us. Now that me thinks about it, this wind reminded me of tha wind that came up when was camping at Wellington Lake and it blew tha tarp thingys on tha old house on wheels. That was really scary and last night was just like that. Me thinks it's time to go take a doggy nap.

Traveling Dogs

We is very lucky puppies!!! Our peoples has taken us all over tha place with them this summer. The reason me eben mentions this is because our little bully friend Baywee was complaining tha other day that her mommy went on some trips this summer and lefted her and her little brodder Frogknot at home. Baywee's mommie didn't think thems could behave. Me and Bugs don't always behave but me guesses that our mommie and daddy like having us with thems so much it don't matter.

We went camping again this weekend in our new house on wheels. Me was a little freaked out about the trip to tha camp site cause me could sense that Daddy was nerbous about driving the new house on wheels cause it is bigger than the old house on wheels. Let me show you tha difference. This summer we has been through 3 house on wheels. Tha first one was all packed up inside a box and had to be opened up and put together. It was really small inside and had hardly any room for us dogs. It's not tha bestest picture but you can see it was not berry big at all.

Then we gots tha next house on wheels. Me and Bugs thought we was in heaben with this one cause there was lots of places for us dogs to sleep and eberybody knows it's all about us puppies. You can see how much bigger tha outside is and inside was like being in a 5 star house on wheels for us puppies.

But Mommy and Daddy decided after a week of camping with us dogs, and for tha record we was only with them 3 days of that week, that tha house on wheels just wasn't big enough for all four of us. So when we came back from bacation thems started looking for a new house on wheels that was bigger and better. And ta da!!!!

We have a new house on wheels that's like a mansion inside!!! We tooked that new house on wheels camping to a new place this time. We wented to St Vrain State Park. It was a berry pretty park with a lake right outside our door. And there were trees across tha lake from us but we didn't have no trees.

What we did have was a bunch of noisy birds that fussed tha whole live long day and night!! AND on top of that we was near tha highway and it was busy all of tha time. Mommy didn't get no sleep cause it was so noisy with the highway sounds and them birds. Me thinks me told you before about tha bunk beds, well Mommy slepted on the one that was supposed to be mine cause hers and daddy snores and keeps each other awake so they slepted in to places. Me don't think her considers that thems snoring might keep me and Bugs awake and us having that bunk would have made all tha difference in tha world. Anyway eben though this place was pretty it was not a nice place cause of all tha noise so we packed up yesterday morning and came home.

.Me thought me was going to get to drive tha new house on wheels cause mommy was taking pictures of me sitting in tha drivers seat. Wouldn't that make you think it was going to be your turn to drive?? Nope, after thems got through taking tha pictures thems made me get in tha back. Thems said dogs can't drive. Well how do thems knows? Thems has neber give me a chance. Tha ride home was more relaxed cause daddy was relaxed at tha wheel so me could go to sleep on the sofa instead of trying to climb into mommy's lap like me did on the way to tha park. Me sure wishes me could relax like Bugs does on these trips, hims just goes right to sleep and leaves tha driving and that worrying to our peoples.

Mommy's Heinz 57

We is back from Mommy's birthday trip and boy did we have a really good time!!! We stayed at this really cool cabin in tha mountains of Southern Colorado. Remember me told you it was a dog friendly cabin, well it can't get much dog friendlier than this. This place was so friendly that me and Bugs just felt right at home and sacked out on tha couch to take a nap.

In fact that's pretty much all we did was nap on Friday afternoon. It's hard on dogs having to be good on a trip and it sure wore us out. A puppy can never get to much rest. You neber know when you is going to have to defend your peoples for wild critters.

Bugs got lots of rest too that first evening. Although some of it hims rest was on tha floor cause me didn't want to share tha couch all of tha times with hims.

The only thing wrong with this cabin was there was no soft place to sleep at night when Mommy and Daddy went to bed. You can see from this picture that the floors was hard and our little beds was at home. Me and Bugs fixed this cause we eased into tha bed with Mommy to sleep and her let us too but first she had to be sure we was going to be good and not growl at Daddy in tha morning. We promised to be really good if hers would let us sleep with her this one time.

On Saturday we got into tha car and drove around looking at all of tha things to see. We went one place back off of tha road and there was some cows. Bugs and me had never seen cows before and there was some staring start at us. Bugs didn't like thems to much and barked at them. Of course we was safe from them cause we was in that car and that made Bugs a lot braver than if hims had been outside with them ole cows. Me and Bugs was real disappointed we didn't see no bears or lions. We heard Mommy and Daddy talking about us not going outside at night without them cause we was in bear country and all kinds of critters showed up at night. We didn't even smell none although Bugs swore that's what hims sniffed on tha deck. Me is pretty sure it was them dogs that came and visited every day from the people who owned tha cabin.

This weekend we is going camping for probably tha last time this year and we is taking tha new house on wheels too!!! We can't wait cause that one does have a bed me and Bugs can sleep in together if me lets him.

Gone for tha weekend

Hello eberbody, We is going away this weekend to celebrate Mommy's Heinz 57. We is going to a lovely cabin in tha mountains. This is a picture of tha cabin from tha internet. We is lucky cause it is dog friendly and me and Bugs is friendly dogs so it should be a good fit. We'll have lots of stories to tell me is sure. Although me isn't real sure why Bugs is even getting to go!

That silly ole Bugs really and truly did it this time. Hims got Mommy's good glasses in hims sights and destroyed them. Actually it was hims mouth that destroyed the glasses. He's couldn't figger out how to get thems out of hims mouth and onto hims nose so hims could read the piece of mail hims took off tha counter. Hims said hims was sure there was a letter for him on tha counter but that hims couldn't read tha name so hims needed Mommy's glasses to be sure. Me told that silly puppy that eben with glasses hims couldn't read but hims insisted and you see what happened. Now Mommy has to go get new good glasses but hers wasn't real mad. Hers said this would just make her do what needed to be done a while a go. Humans sure are hard to figger out. Me was sure Bugs was going to get into BIG trouble over that one.

Real names

Mommy made a very big discovery this weekend. Hers discovered that Bugs really has two names. Hims has his speaking name and hims real name and that is what mommy discovered this weekend. Bugs' real name.

Bugs is always getting into some sort of mischief no matter how hard me tries to keep him out of trouble. In fact most of tha times hims gets me into troubles right along with him. For instance, hims stole some mail off the counter and took it outside to read it and tore it up in tha process. Hims decided hims wanted to do some cooking and got a cookbook off of tha coffee table that Mommy borrowed from tha libarry and yep, you quessed it, he tore it up and left it out in tha ran. Thems is just some samples of tha mischief that little fellow gets into. Mommy usually laughs at him cause hims such a happy go lucky fellow and there isn't a mean bone in hims body.

Well Friday evening we was all at home, me and Mommy on tha sofa, Daddy in hims easy chair and Bugs in Mommy's chair when it came to her that Bugs' real name was Loki! Now me didn't know who Loki was until me did some research on Mommy's computer (hence the dirty paw prints) and this is what me learned. Loki is the Norse God of mischief and a trickster. Well that is Bugs a doodle alright a mischief maker and a trickster. So now we know hims real name is Loki and understand that little puppy better. Mommy says her thinks, that like Loki, hims will always be into something.

Now me is wondering if me has a real name that me peoples just hasn't discovered yet. If Bugs can have a real name of a mythical god them me wants one too. Hummm, thems is always saying me is handsome. Maybe me real name could be Adonis. Me will have to look into this and see if that would be a good real name for this very handsome boxer.

Look at this

Our peoples loves us puppies so much that thems decided to get a larger house on wheels so we could be more comfortable. Hows that for being pampered pooches? This is the new house on wheels. Isn't it grand? After going camping last month for a week Mommy and Daddy decided that the old house on wheels wasn't large enough for thems and us. It was okay for a weekend but not for 10 days. Me and Bugs is inclined to agree with thems.

This house on wheels has a seperate sleeping area as well as an over that driver seat bed so our peoples don't have to put the sofa down to sleep on and thems has room to walk around. Us do to which is very good. When the sofa was laid out into a bed me and Bugs had no room to turn around. Now we do.

We hasn't been out on a trip in it yet, but we did get to go and check it out and sniff it really good. See this bunk bed? Me thinks this will be me bed. It's just right for a boxer. Me don't know where that Bugs a doodle is goine to sleep cause tha upper bunk is to big for hims to get on and me isn't sharing me bed.

We has to wait to on a camping trip until next month, whenever that is. Next weekend me, Bugs and Daddy is taking Mommy away to a cabin in tha mountains for her birthday. Bugs has never been to a cabin before but me has and it's fun!!!
